Trojan:JS/BrowseFox is a web browser extension that displays pop-up third-party advertising content on viewed web pages. It may also inject advertising content into search results and silently modify the web browser's settings.

Technical Details

BrowseFox is a web browser add-on or extension that is available for multiple browsers, including Firefox, Internet Explorer and Chrome. It may be installed as standalone software, or bundled together with another program.

On installation, the extension can silently modify various web browser settings, such as the home page and search settings. During a web browsing session, BrowseFox will display pop-up advertising content on the viewed web pages. It can also inject advertising content into search results returned by search engines.
