Technical Details

Sadcor is a simple mass mailer that sends itself in Access database files using Outlook. It arrives in emails that looks as follows:

Subject: Re: Saddam Corrupted Body: Please find the details of Saddam Corrupted Attachment: account.mdb, win.zip

Once the user have received an infected mail and opened attached Access database file, the macro code copies the "account.mdb" to the root of the C: drive. The code also attempts to copy another file, "win.zip" to the root of the C: drive as "win.exe" and "win.zip". After the files have been copied, the worm attempts to execute "C:\win.exe". However, we have not received a copy of this file.

Finally the worm mass mails itself to every recipient in every address book. Beside "access.mdb" the worm attempts to attach "win.zip".

The virus code contains several comments that are never shown to the user.
