Technical Details

In March 1996, the following hoax warning was circulating in the internet:

There is a new Virus out there that is a total pocket book killer. It is called the DuBois virus and when it hits you, it hits right in your pocketbook. when an infected program is executed, every individual RAM IC chip in your computer will explode! And if you don't get the virus removed from your hard drive before you power up the machine again after replacing all RAM, POOF!! It blows all the RAM again!!!!! KILLER!!!

Obviously, such virus does not and could not exist. Ignore the warning and inform anybody who is spreading this warning to stop doing it.
