F‑Secure has committed to set near-term, company-wide greenhouse gas emissions reduction targets in line with climate science through the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi).
By joining the SBTi, F‑Secure is taking a clear step toward aligning its climate strategy with what science says is necessary to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C. This commitment reflects F‑Secure’s ambition to act responsibly and to be a sustainable, long-term partner for customers, partners, and society.
The Science Based Targets initiative is a global corporate climate action organization that helps companies set emissions reduction targets aligned with the latest climate science. Its standards and guidance support rapid and deep emissions cuts, which are essential to halving global emissions before 2030 and reaching net-zero by 2050 at the latest.
As part of this commitment, F‑Secure will now work to develop and submit its near-term emissions reduction targets to the SBTi for validation. The company joins thousands of organizations worldwide that have committed to science-based climate action.
Climate change is a global challenge that requires urgent action. By committing to the SBTi, F‑Secure aims to contribute its part taking meaningful, measurable steps grounded in science when protecting consumers against online threats and scams.
