HELSINKI (November 19, 2025) — F‑Secure has been awarded the AI Growth Initiative of the Year at AI Gala 2025 for its Scam Image Scanner, an AI-driven capability that delivers a major leap forward in protecting consumers from image-based scams across social media, messaging apps, marketplaces, and online platforms.
The AI Gala, organized by AI Finland, recognizes the most significant AI projects and innovators in the country. Ten winners were selected from nearly 180 nominated initiatives and presented to more than 500 business leaders, experts, developers, and decision-makers. F‑Secure’s Scam Image Scanner was chosen for its use of advanced AI models and agentic AI tool calling to combat the rapid rise of global scam activity.
F‑Secure’s Scam Image Scanner analyzes screenshots and shared images to identify scams in just a few taps. It detects manipulated visuals, fake product listings, fraudulent investment pitches, romance scam photos, and other deceptive content. The AI agent cross-references each image with multiple intelligence sources, including more than thirty-five years of F‑Secure security data, and provides instant risk assessments with clear guidance for users.
