Technical Details

DroidDream.B is a lighter version of its predecessor, DroidDream.A; it has no root privilege on the device it was installed on. It collects the following information from the device:

  • IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) number
  • IMSI (International Mobile Subscriber Identity) number
  • Device model
  • SDK version
  • Installed applications

Unlike DroidDream.A that can silently install applications on the infected device without needing user action, the B variant's lack of root privilege means that any attempt to install an application will result in prompting a message to ask user to allow the installation.
