Summary

This is large family or loosely-related viruses from Italy. They all contain a reference to 'Grog' in internal texts. Sizes of the viruses range from 200 to over 2000 bytes.

Additional Details

Earlier variants infect only COM files. Later ones are resident, infect COM and EXE files and employ encyrption.

There is a wide variety of texts contained within the variants.

Grog viruses are not common outside Italy.

In February 1996 there were over 50 different Grog variants.
