Bubbles was written by the Youngsters Against McAfee (YAM) group with
the help of IVP generator.
The virus contains the following texts:
Sometimes the virus displays one of the above text strings.
IVP doesn't contain as many features as the VCL or PS-MPC virus
toolkits. For example, there is no option for creating memory-resident
viruses. Also the encryption algorithms are fairly simple compared to
e.g. PS-MPC. IVP often produces buggy code.
There are so far two known versions of IVP, versions 1.0 and 1.7.
According to an announcement by YAM, IVP 2.0 will challenge all
existing virus writing toolkits.
