On November 29, Cyber Monday 2010, customers will almost certainly set another new online sales record, as they have every year since the first Cyber Monday in 2005. More and more shoppers skip the malls expecting to find the best deals fast online.
But many people don’t expect to find that Google search results often include links to poisoned sites. These malicious sites can infect an unsecured PC with malware, wasting precious time and money.
The more popular a gift is the more likely you are to find a dangerous search result. Here are the products, keywords and brands we anticipate will be targeted by cybercriminals this holiday season.

When you’re shopping online, you have to think safety. Follow these three quick tips to protect yourself while shopping online:
• go to a retailer’s site directly if possible;
• use Internet security software that features Browsing Protection (or check links with F-Secure’s free Browsing Protection);
• an always check a sites URL before making any purchase (looking to make sure you’re at the correct online store and that the page URL begins with https://, which means it’s secure).
