Preparing for the first 24hrs of a cyber attack

Event took place on Thursday, 28 January 2021

2 PM - 3 PM GMT

Breach is inevitable. It is no longer a matter of 'if' you will be breached, but 'when'. How will you prepare for the first 24hrs of a cyber attack on your organisation?

As well as a layered security strategy, the actions you are able to take in the first 24 hours following the detection of a breach determines the scale of your reputational and financial damage. The speed of response is critical, yet navigating this complex and dynamic situation can be daunting. Year 2020 has shown us the importance and impact of thorough planning and timely preperation, even for what seems to be unlikely scenarios.

In this webinar, our expert speakers discussed key issues arising in recent incidents and how they are mitigated. They also shared their views and extensive experience on:

  • Why a cyber-incident is bad for business (not least – stress!)
  • The incident response process: the minimum that should be in place, ahead of an incident
  • The current cyber threat landscape: the key threats (with real examples) and how they have an impact on response tactics
  • The opportunity for financial/data recovery in the first 24hrs of an incident
  • Key lessons learnt: what has 2020 taught us from Incidents and Response perspective
