Helping organisations become Cyber Essentials certified

What is Cyber Essentials?

Cyber Essentials is a UK government backed scheme operated by the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) that encourages organisations to adopt good practice in information security.

It was developed in collaboration with industry partners, including the Information Security Forum (ISF), the Information Assurance for Small and Medium Enterprises Consortium (IASME) and the British Standards Institution (BSI).

Why is it a big deal?

Many organisations, from colleges and hospitals to private companies, are becoming certified. Doing so helps you to guard against the most common cyber threats, meet your GDPR requirements and demonstrate your commitment to cyber security.

How can I get Cyber Essentials certified?

Cyber Essentials specify the requirements under five technical control themes:

  1.  Firewalls
  2. Secure configuration
  3. User access control
  4. Malware protection
  5. Patch management

To become certified, you must ensure that your organisation meets all the above requirements as a minimum.

How can F-Secure help you become certified?

F-Secure is the largest cyber security services company in Europe and provide solutions that meet Cyber Essentials requirements. Our cloud and on-premise endpoint security solutions, which protects your computers, mobiles and servers, gives you everything you need.
