Written by our consultants and through their eyes, the F-Secure Guide to Rainbow Teaming provides a detailed walkthrough of the technical and people-led processes needed to continually test and improve your cyber security capabilities.
There’s now a broader range of initiatives available to support the development of an organization’s cyber security posture across the Predict, Prevent, Detect, and Respond (PPDR) model. Combined, these are colloquially referred to as a “Rainbow Team”.
We’ll be releasing a series of four whitepapers to help your organization develop its own Rainbow Teaming program:
- Red Team Assess detection and response performance through an authentic, targeted adversary simulation exercise.
- Blue Team Understand the network and build cyber resilience by implementing key detection and response measures.
- Purple Team Measure and improve detection and prevention along known attack paths.
- Gold Team Practice and develop the business-wide response to a cyber incident to mitigate business impact.
Each paper explores one such testing approach through the eyes of the teams – external as well as internal – taking part in the engagement, demonstrating how they lead to real-world impact. For readers that have partaken in similar testing activities already, this series will demonstrate how to boost the benefits of those initial investments.
