August's Security Updates Posted by Ero @ 20:03 GMT

Microsoft released today several updates. Three of them rated Critical:

MS05-038 addresses several vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer, MS05-039 fixes problems in Plug and Play and MS05-043 solves a remote code execution vulnerability in the Print Spooler service.

One is rated as Important:

A vulnerability involving remote code execution in the Telephony Application Programming Interface is being fixed by MS05-040.

And two other are rated Moderate:

Remote Desktop Protocol and Kerberos vulnerabilities involving Denial Of Service attacks are fixed by MS05-041 and MS05-042, respectively.
