F-Secure Anti-Virus for Windows Servers, version 8.00
We are happy to announce a new version of F-Secure Anti-Virus for Windows Servers.
What is new in this release:
- Windows Server 2008 support
F-Secure Anti-Virus for Servers 8.00 now supports Windows Server 2008 Standard/Enterprise 32 and 64bit. - Improved real-time scanning performance on removable
drives
Scanning logic has been enhanced to enable faster processing of large files that reside on removable drives. - Updated scanning report to elaborate what happens
Scanning report has been updated to explain in more detail why certain files have been skipped. - Faster spyware removal
Spyware removal is significantly faster with this release. While previously the spyware scan was reinitiated with removal, now the scanning maintains information about its state. - Reduced memory consumption
The product has now been optimized to use less memory. There is a significant decrease in the amount of memory consumed. This shows as improved overall performance. - Updated identification and removal of conflicting
programs (sidegrade)
Sidegrade has been updated to include more common conflicting products, and cleaned from the unnecessary removals that would not cause conflict with our software. - New manual database installation tool
A new tool for updating protection databases manually, called fsdbupdate, installs all the latest database updates for customers with a valid subscription. - Core technology improvements for malware detection and removal
Fast and carefree maintainability of Virus and Spyware protection scanning architecture, allowing quick and smooth response to constantly evolving threat landscape.

The product can be centrally managed with F-Secure Policy Manager 7.2.

Installation Instructions
You can import the package to F-Secure Policy Manager by clicking the Import button in the F-Secure Policy Manager Console Installation Packages view. Alternatively the installation package can be copied manually to the Commdir/Install/Entry subdirectory under the Policy Manager Server directory.

Hotfixes
Please check if there are hotfixes available for this product from the hotfix download page.
If you have a valid support and maintenance agreement with F-Secure, and the required product key code, you can download latest product versions from this page.
If you have not received the new key code required on installation, please check that your support and maintenance agreement is still valid. For renewing your agreement, please see section "Purchasing F-Secure Products" of our Contact Information page.
