This virus stays resident in memory and infects EXE files when
they are executed.
Uddy activates when an infected program is executed after the first
of January, 1998. At this time the virus overwrites part of the
hard drive with text "UDDY UDDY UDDY", then displays "UDDY" on
screen and hangs the machine.
Uddy.2617 was reported to be in the wild in USA in April 1996.
