This is a family of multipartite viruses from Taiwan. These viruses infect COM, EXE and NewEXE (Windows files) as well as boot and master boot sectors on hard drives and floppies.

Tpvo.3464 contains this text:

 keep in mind... The TPVO is "Taiwan Power Virus Organization"

Tpvo viruses try to modify the execution of several scanners by adding extra command-line options to the command line invisibly.
