This virus will infect COM and EXE program whenever they are
executed or opened for any reason. It will also infect files in a
directory when a DIR command is executed.
This virus was pretty common in USA during the last half of 1994.
It activates by random when the date is 26th of December or 9th of
September, playing one of two Chinese songs from the PC speaker.
These dates are the birth and death dates of Mao-Tse Tung.
Little_Red has been spread on power management utility diskettes provided
with some monitors (Power Management EPA Energy Star & VESA DPMS Compliant
Version 2.02). These floppies were in circulation in Europe at least in
the fall of 1995.
