NAME:

Leonor

W97M/Leonor is a simple Word macro virus. It consists of one module "AutoOpen" and infects when open documents.

Depending on a random number, every Monday or Saturday W97M/Leonor virus creates 100 text files in the "C:\WINDOWS\ESCRITORIO" directory. These files contain the following string:

        I love Leonor forever

The names of the files range from "1.txt" to "100.txt".

The virus also contains the comment:

        Leonor macro (v1.1) made by uhjov

VARIANT: Leonor.B

This variant is similar to W97/Leonor.A. The files it creates when payload activates contains the following text:

        Recuerdo de Leonor

        Una noche de verano
        -estaba abierto el balcn
        y la puerta de mi casa-
        la muerte en mi casa entr.
        Se fue acercando a su lecho
        -ni siquiera me mir-,
        con unos dedos muy finos
        algo muy tenue se rompi.
        Silenciosa y sin mirarme,
        la muerte otra vez pas
        delante de m. Qu has hecho?
        La muerte no respondi.
        Mi nia qued tranquila,
        dolido mi corazn.
        Ay, lo que la muerte ha roto
        era un hilo entre los dos!

VARIANT: Leonor.C

W97M/Leonor.C is slightly modified variant from W97M/Leonor.A.
