TargetSaver adware sends all visited URLs with an installation id to TargetSavers' servers. From this data, targeted advertisements are displayed as pop-up windows to the user. Pop-up windows are unbranded and the origin of it is difficult for a user to determine. TargetSaver specializes in delivering shopping related advertisements.
TargetSaver is installed by trojans, silently, without a user's knowledge. The adware operates in stealth from the user. |
