Installation

WinFetch adware installs itself in the current working directory and creates a data file named:

  •  sample.dll.

This file could possibly be updated to be an actual file downloaded from the Internet.

The adware program has an auto-update functionality. Some remote sites it may attempt to connect to are:

  •  http://www.jmnad1.com/
  •  http://origin.statbuster.com/

Additionally, Internet Explorer may crash or become unstable once this adware has been installed.

The adware uses registry Run keys as launch points.
