This article describes what you can do if your F-Secure product does not detect a new variant of known malware.
In rare circumstances, you may notice that the product does not detect malware correctly if, for example, it is a new variant of a known malware family.
To be able to solve the problem and clean your computer, we need a sample of the suspected malware variant. You can send samples for analysis via the Sample Analysis System located at https://analysis.f-secure.com/.
If you have problems submitting the samples, contact our Technical Support for further assistance.
As soon as we have analyzed the sample and created a definition for it, the virus definitions will be automatically updated to your computer and the computer will be cleaned.
