Fin de la disponibilité de Polite Protocol (UDP); protocole de mise à jour

F-Secure will drop support for the legacy Polite Protocol (UDP) based update protocol as of December 15, 2008.

Of the currently supported product versions, the following two still use this protocol by default:

Both of the products will be able to fall back to the currently supported HTTP protocol, given that there are no constraints in the network preventing the HTTP connection from being established. Please see KB article "F-Secure virus definition database update server addresses" (Article No. 2712) for the requirements for the HTTP update protocol.

This change will not affect the above-mentioned products if they receive their updates through an F-Secure Policy Manager installation.

This change will also have no impact on customers using any other currently supported product.. Please see the Supported Products page for up-to-date information on supported F-Secure products and their versions.
