"We have placed emphasis upon the concept of Security as a Service because we have noted users transferring away from buying products towards the purchase of security services. Company President and CEO, Risto Siilasmaa
F-Secure® Service Platform for Enterprises was officially launched in October but has been developed by F-Secure working with other companies like Fujitsu-Services in Finland for a number of years now. Having reached a level of understanding about the business outlay of such a service, F-Secure has been able over time to perfect a subscription-based and flexible delivery model that matched what it identified as a clear corporate need.

F-Secure® Service Platform for Enterprises is targeted for all partners in the IT security segment with the recognizable need to enhance their scope and depth of their IT security offering. Using the F-Secure® Service Platform for Enterprises, clients can enjoy the full support of F-Secure and its technology, research, support and business models.
Flexibility is one of the cornerstones of F-Secure® Service Platform for Enterprises which is understandable given the range of which it is designed to serve. These include managed service providers, application service providers, hosting companies, IT service providers, managed security service providers as well as network service providers. All of these can now benefit from this new business model.
The flexibility built into F-Secure® Service Platform for Enterprises is visible in a number of ways. One of the first things to note is that the service is built upon subscription based licensing meaning that customers only have to pay for what they use. With no upfront payments before the business has started, the bar is already set lower to get the service up and running.
Overall, the aim of building up the business scope of F-Secure® Service Platform for Enterprises is to make the service as easy to deploy as possible using the full range of support and training services.
Equally, F-Secure's Service Platform for Enterprises has been designed to incorporate all those enterprise grade tools for customization for both customer specific needs as well as 'one size fits all' -models. In short, F-Secure is able to deliver security as a 'best-of-breed' security service, as a value add service, or as a part of a larger outsourcing offering - whatever fits the customer's requirements the best.
Looking to the future, F-Secure is confident that its initiative to launch Security as a Service will be well received, not only thanks to the company's record in data security provision but also for its world class technology, Service Partner support and professional services, all of which are at our customers' disposal.
