F-Secure´s and Fujitsus well-oiled collaboration releases Fujitsus customers from all data security worries all the way from planning to maintenance and upgrade. The seeds of Fujitsu's and F-Secure's collaboration were sown in 1998, when Fujitsu assumed the representation of F-Secure products in Finland. As early as in year 2000 Fujitsu started offering Security as a Service in collaboration with F-Secure.

Seamless security to Fujitsus end-users
In Finland, the two of Fujitsus outsourcing models, Patja and Sohva, transfer the customers' IT infrastructure and business applications into Fujitsus responsibility. Customers can concentrate on their core business and competitive processes.
Patja is an IT infrastructure outsourcing model whereby Fujitsu takes full responsibility for a customers ICT infrastructure processes including consultation services, information security policies, end-user support, training, monitoring and incident response, maintenance and upgrade.
"Patja concept is mainly offered in Finland but is available in other countries. Fujitsus Patja is the forerunner in the outsourcing of ICT infrastructure in Finland," Hyppönen adds and continues: "Patja-service includes instructions and guidance for users. Workstation and laptop security service environment includes e-mail system, anti virus, spam filtering as well as data traffic filtering. Patja concept has extended also to mobilityusers with smartphones, where the primary emphasis is on virus prevention and data security"
Speaking about Sohva model, Hyppönen emphasizes the outstanding project portfolio management and cost efficiency of operations "As a Sohva partner, the customer enjoys application development, support and control in all phases of the lifecycle.," Hyppönen points out.
In the Sohva model, the first security step is to plan out the customers overall data security, then to present an architectural model and its technical realization. After this, the technical architecture is implemented and transferred to Fujitsus central service, which effectively manages everything from installation to technical phone support.
F-Secure's role is to offer the full backup of its data security expertise in its security platform service offering. A recent audit of F-Secures offering and services as well as their way of working revealed high quality and the company will now give its first Service Provider Certification to Fujitsu.
