Upgrade recommended for F-Secure Anti-Virus version 4 In 1999, F-Secure Anti-Virus for Windows, version 4 was replaced by version 5. The old version has, however, been supported since then, even if new features have not been added. This support will end on January 1, 2003 as was communicated earlier. This means that the virus definition databases published by F-Secure will not be verified for full compatibility with the Windows versions of F-Secure Anti-Virus 4. Therefore, F-Secure cannot guarantee that computers running F-Secure Anti-Virus 4 for Workstations will be fully protected against new viruses. This change does not affect F-Secure Anti-Virus 4 for Linux. The Linux version is still the current shipping version and we therefore do still support it.If you still have computers running F-Secure Anti-Virus 4 for Windows, now is a good time to upgrade. If you have a valid support and maintenance agreement for F-Secure Anti-Virus for Workstations, you can download version 5.40 from F-Secure Web Club at:http://www.f-secure.com/anti-virus/webclub/corporate/avwks5.shtml.If your support and maintenance agreement has expired, please contact your F-Secure reseller or visit the F-Secure eStore at http://www.f-secure.com/estore/For further information, please visit http://www.f-secure.com/support/contact/ Begin | Back
