In many cases, Small and Medium-sized Businesses are not always aware of the security system they would best fit their organization. With no in-house IT to consult, the challenge is to find a security solution that is affordable, reliable and above all, easy to maintain.
Taking these factors into consideration, F-Secure has first addressed the challenge by providing customers with easier offerings, to better understand the products that they need. F-Secure's portfolio of solutions has diversified quite significantly in recent years. Present solutions include Home and Small office protection (F-Secure Internet Security 2006), Protection for company laptops and desktops (F-Secure Anti-Virus Client Security) and finally, the comprehensive solution for businesses below 100 users (F-Secure Anti-Virus Small Business Suite).
Given the importance of the SME market, its range in terms of size, business type and budgets, it was clear that a solution was necessary to provide better understanding of what's available to them.
From June onwards, one of the most important tools for customers and partners will be the new F-Secure Solution Finder, an easy-to-use tool available in the F-Secure public web. Solution Finder helps customers to find out the correct solution that fits their needs with a series of questions and provides them with a recommendation and relevant pricing information. It enables customers to find the reseller near them to make the purchase, or alternatively send a request F-Secure to forward them to the right partners for further information.
In addition to the Solution Finder, there is already a Quick Selling Guide for reseller partners, to help them to offer the right solution for customers. The product marketing team at F-Secure will also be introducing some other interesting tools in the near future to ensure that F-Secure's customers find the right tools for the job.
