F-Secure is launching three new high-performance Linux products in the autumn of 2004. All three products are specifically designed for Linux, and represent the very latest security technology available today. With the introduction of F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper for Linux, F-Secure extends its anti-virus gateway offering to serve customers who require very high performance, security, and reliability in their networks. F-Secure Anti-Virus Linux Server and Client Security are designed for the growing number of organizations using Linux on servers and desktops.
F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper for Linux
F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper for Linux stops viruses and other inappropriate content from entering or leaving the corporate network. By scanning multiple different protocols (HTTP, SMTP, FTP, and POP) for viruses, over-sized and rejected files, F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper for Linux ensures that your network is fully protected against viruses coming in through the Internet. The product can scan the files downloaded by users with their browsers, and/or it can reject the downloading of defined file types. As regards e-mail, F-Secure Internet Gatekeeper for Linux can filter out not just viruses, but it can also reduce the amount of spam received, and block other unwanted content sent to end users. If you are looking for a high-performance yet low-cost gateway security solution - look no further.
F-Secure Anti-Virus Linux Server and Client Security
In September, F-Secure will introduce two new products that will set the bar for Linux server and workstation security. With F-Secure Anti-Virus Linux Server and Client Security, F-Secure provides true centralized management, and real-time anti-virus protection for Linux workstations and servers too. The products also include Linux firewall management, and a new system integrity-checking feature that will protect the servers and workstations against hackers and attempted intrusions. The products will automatically stop viruses in real time before they can spread, install on, or do damage to the Linux machine. The firewall functionality will deny unwanted remote attempts to enter the server or workstation. In addition to this, the products will also reject unwanted changes, or notify administrators of any changes that have been made to the system. This will prevent hackers from changing or installing new files and applications on the server without the administrators knowledge.
F-Secures powerful management solution enables organizations to manage both Windows and Linux anti-virus solutions from one central management system - the F-Secure Policy Manager. F-Secure Policy Manager, also available on Linux, and its Web reporting tool, facilitate the installation, deployment, policy enforcement, and monitoring of the network, thereby reducing the time required for security administration.
