New horizons for 2006

Welcome to the first edition of Protected for 2006. Of the many positive and ongoing developments with the company, F-Secure is particularly proud of its continued success in the data security market - our last interim report showed that for the tenth consecutive quarter we have been growing faster than any of our stock exchange listed competitors with the majority of the corporation's turnover coming from outside the Nordic countries. This growth is set against a background where in the last quarter the industry itself was marked by a considerable slowdown in growth generally.

Click, you're infected

Spyware incorporates a broad range of potentially malicious software designed to intercept or to some extent control a computer's operation without the informed consent of the user. Spyware usually enters a computer through deception of the user or through exploitation of software vulnerabilities. Broadly speaking it is software that subverts the computer's operation for the commercial benefit of a third party. Unlike viruses, it does not usually self-replicate.
