The services are managed with the help of F-Secure Policy Manager™, which is used to centrally manage data security in different parts of the IT system.

The whole F-Secure Policy Manager can be installed in the customer's own network or some components can be deployed from the service provider's system. Central management from the service provider's site allows maintenance of customer's data security levels, monitoring of alarms and reporting. In this model, the service provider is responsible for the monitoring of data security and the customer can concentrate on its core business. The Netsol solution is based on F-Secure Policy Manager operating on Linux platforms. The service includes installation, software maintenance, monitoring of data security and reporting.

Installation

The installation is carried out either as remote service or using customer-specific installation packages. After the installation, all settings are made centrally from the service center.

Virus detection data required in antivirus protection are provided centrally; monitoring ensures that data is accessible and up-to-date.

In a centralized system, monitoring is easy and alerts can be dealt with quickly and efficiently.

Reporting

The service includes reports on the data security status.


In a simplified diagram all computers interact with the F-Secure Policy Manager Server. In addition to an anti-virus product, laptop computers must include also a distributed firewall and, to secure remote connections they are often furnished with the VPN product.
