Italian Koch Media deal heralds F-Secure entry into European consumer stores

Helsinki, Finland - April 28, 2005

Milan, 20 April 2005 – F-Secure has signed an agreement with Koch Media in Italy, which will distribute its antivirus products in retail stores across the country. Koch Media, which specializes in localization, publishing and software distribution in retail channels around central Europe has also signed deals with F-Secure in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. The agreement allows Koch Media to distribute F-Secure consumer products to the main consumer stores chains, in a package tailored specifically for the retail market.

This partnership is part of F-Secure’s strategy. F-Secure recently opened the Italian office and now celebrates this significant breakthrough. From May onwards, F-Secure Internet Security 2005 and F-Secure Anti-Virus 2005 is targeted to be available on the shelves of Italy’s major stores offering comprehensive protection for the home PC market.

Award-winning F-Secure Internet Security 2005 offers total protection against Internet threats, thanks to its antivirus capability, personal firewall, antispyware and online daily updates against new threats. This software also includes parental control functionality to protect younger users against inappropriate material from the Internet. F-Secure Anti-Virus 2005 on the other hand, offers users virus protection and anti-spyware functionality.
