F-Secure aligns North American channel strategy and business mix

Helsinki, Finland - May 19, 2004

F-Secure has made a strategic change in the North American Operations to align with the core F-Secure strategy both in channel operations and business mix.

In addition to aligning with F-Secure global strategy the objective of the change is to improve the scalability of our business in North America through a channel-centric model. The Americas will now be a channel centric sales organization, building on the success and experience we have already gained and achieved with this model in Europe. Previously our American sales have been a mix of direct sales and channel sales with extensive focus on encryption solutions. With this change we are increasing emphasis on our content security business in North America covering Corporate, ISP and OEM segments. At the same time we are opening up new opportunities with SSH products for channel partners in North America, enabling better scalability and a wider reach for our encryption business.

F-Secure will continue to provide high quality SSH clients and SSH servers for both Windows and UNIX platforms. Product development will continue to focus on developing a high quality and certified SSH solution, which coupled with professional support services fulfills customer requirements.

Geographically our North American team will focus on the U.S. and Canadian markets, while responsibility for Central and South America will be covered from corporate headquarters. F-Secure's North American operations are headed by Travis Witteveen.

These changes in the American market have no implications for F-Secure's operations elsewhere.
