Saudi Aramco Deploys F-Secure’s SSH Data Security Solution

World’s Largest Oil Corporation Secures Remote Access Across Entire Enterprise Network with F-Secure’s Encryption Technology

Helsinki, Finland - April 15, 2003

F-Secure Corporation, a leading provider of security solutions for today’s increasingly mobile enterprises, today announced that Saudi Aramco has selected F-Secure SSH software to authenticate and secure remote access across their extensive worldwide operations.

Exhibiting this week at the RSA Conference in San Francisco, CA, F-Secure Inc. will be showcasing their FIPS- 140 certified encryption solutions at booth # 1130.

Already the de facto standard for network access security, F-Secure SSH provides total network security by providing strong user authentication and strong encryption between computers and remote servers. Additionally, the product’s remote utilities enable security for terminal connections, tunneling for email and web access, and secure file transfer protocol (SFTP.)

F-Secure SSH™ contains F-Secure’s FIPS 140-1 validated cryptographic module, which is certified by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology).

“Our evaluation process concluded that F-Secure’s SSH solution achieved to the level of our corporate security requirements and provided the ease of use and management that we were looking for.” said Dr. Ibrahim S. Mishari, Saudi Aramco Information Technology (IT) vice president and chief information officer, “The support that F-Secure is able to provide, makes it a clear choice when trying to decide upon our SSH solution.”

“Saudi Aramco’s requirements were rigorous, and not something that just any SSH vendor could meet,” said Ilkka Starck, Executive VP of the Americas at F-Secure Inc., San Jose, CA. “This deployment shows that the technology enhancements and customer support that we deliver with F-Secure SSH add value and set us apart from other SSH solutions.”
