F-Secure and EDS Leverage Market-Leading Strengths in Security, E-learning and Integration

Cyber Security Institute Enhanced with F-Secure Courseware; EDS to Resell F-Secure's Industry-leading Products and Provide Integration Support

Helsinki, Finland - July 17, 2001

F-Secure Corporation (HEX: FSC), a leading developer of centrally managed security solutions for the mobile enterprise, and EDS (NYSE: EDS), today announced they have formed an agreement in which EDS will re-sell F-Secure products and provide integration, security management and support services to F-Secure customers worldwide. Additionally, F-Secure is providing security content for EDS' Cyber Security Institute, a computer security curriculum to arm IT professionals and consumers with skills to battle hackers, security breaches and viruses.

The alliance will enable the companies to leverage their respective strengths - F-Secure's market presence as a pioneer in wireless and network security products and EDS' security and systems integration leadership.

"F-Secure's centrally managed security solutions are a natural fit with EDS' globally recognized security management support team," said Kimmo Alkio, Chief Operating Officer at F-Secure. "Together, we will be able to offer customers a superior combination of security products with support from a global leader in information assurance."

F-Secure and EDS will work jointly to develop courseware for EDS' Cyber Security Institute, which specializes in teaching overall employee security awareness and information assurance technical skills. F-Secure has contributed expert subject matter for the development of a Web-based course on anti-virus solutions targeted for network technicians, systems technicians and managers. The course is called Malware Fundamentals and is accessible from the EDS Cyber Security Institute course catalog (www.eds.com/cybersecurity). The course presents an overview of computer-related attacks known as "malware" - viruses, worms, trojan horses, malicious code and hoaxes. In addition, students will learn about the impact of "malware," the threats to computer components, anti-virus policies and countermeasures.

"We partner with leaders, so we're pleased to add F-Secure's expertise to our suite of courses," said Bill Hitchcock, global director of EDS' Web Universities and Training. "Viruses such as the "love-bug" cost organizations billions of dollars because of the impact on business operations. To combat this threat, organizations must not only have a technical strategy, but should also have a training strategy. The more employees know about potential threats and countermeasures, the sooner a defense can be implemented or a threat can be deterred. It's our goal to combat this with help from the best companies in the industry."

"EDS proved to be a natural partner for F-Secure," says Mr. Alkio. " EDS has first-rate expertise with e-learning platforms, where today's security threats can be highlighted in a concrete and instructive way."
