Leading Security Solutions Providers Evaluated By Readers of Information Security Magazine

Espoo, Finland - January 8, 2001

F-Secure Corp., a leading developer of centrally managed data security solutions for the mobile, distributed enterprise has been named a finalist in first annual Excellence Awards of Information Security Magazine.

Nominated by the magazine's readership and selected by security industry analysts and professionals, the finalists represent the leading security solutions and products in eight different categories. F-Secure Workstation Suite is an award finalist in the category of Antivirus and Content Inspection products.

Andy Briney, editor-in-chief of Information Security, said the nominees represent the premier products and solutions in today's e-security marketplace. "As we have seen by the rash of recent security breaches, implementing and using effective and superior technology is very important," Briney said. "The nominated products were selected by professionals who build, apply and use security solutions. When we announce the winners, we will truly be announcing the best of the breed."

Risto Siilasmaa, President and CEO of F-Secure Corporation said, "In any professional endeavor, there is nothing more rewarding than customer validation, and peer recognition is a close second. Being nominated by security analysts and professionals, the very people building and protecting business critical systems for the 21st century, helps validate F-Secure's approach to securing the mobile, distributed enterprise. It is truly an honor."

In order to reflect the opinions of the marketplace, a "virtual voting booth" has been established at the Information Security magazine Web site (www.infosecuritymag.com). Votes are being accepted through Jan. 19.

Winners will be announced at the Awards Luncheon in February, at MIS Training Institute's InfoSec World conference in Orlando. The winners will also appear in the March issue of Information Security magazine, a leading trade monthly for IT, networking and information security practitioners. Based in Norwood, Massachusetts, Information Security magazine is published by TruSecure Corp. (www.trusecure.corp) a Reston, Va. based Internet security assurance company that was formerly known as ICSA.net.
