F-Secure Workstation Suite is a one-stop, packaged solution integrating F-Secure Anti-Virus, F-Secure FileCrypto, F-Secure VPN+ and F-Secure Distributed Firewall, which gives you all the essential functionality for desktop and laptop security.

In addition, the workstation suite includes a license for F-Secure Policy Manager, which provides centralized management and installation, empowering the corporate administrator to install, update, upgrade, and manage the Workstation Suite products from one location utilizing a powerful policy-based management system.

The F-Secure Workstation Suite 4.3 release consists of the following components:

- F-Secure Management Agent for Windows 4.30
- F-Secure Anti-Virus for Windows 5.20
- F-Secure FileCrypto for Windows 4.30
- F-Secure VPN+ Client for Windows 5.10
- F-Secure Distributed Firewall for Windows 5.10
- F-Secure SmartCard Extension for Windows 1.00
- F-Secure BackWeb for Windows 5.50
- F-Secure Management Extension for Windows 4.31

This release is for Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT 4.0 and Windows 2000 Workstation, and it includes language support for U.S. English, French, German, Japanese and Finnish. Please note that Windows 2000 currently supports only F-Secure Management Agent and F-Secure Anti-Virus and that the Finnish language option is only available with F-Secure Management Agent and F-Secure Anti-Virus.

The major changes from previous public release are the following:

F-Secure Anti-Virus features a new update mechanism for signature databases through a local user interface. This mechanism can co-exist with F-Secure BackWeb Agent and does not require or conflict with F-Secure BackWeb Agent. The new update mechanism uses HTTP protocol to download the updates. F-Secure Anti-Virus also features a new improved local user interface, which makes it easy to check the latest signature database dates and version numbers of the scanning engines.

F-Secure VPN+ now supports third party PKCS#11 providers. Furthermore, F-Secure VPN+ can utilize a 3rd party Certificate Authority (CA) server for certificate handling. Certificate enrolment is done with Simple Certificate Enrolment Protocol (SCEP) and certificate revocation list (CRL) retrieval from directory with LDAPv2. F-Secure VPN+ can be configured to use private key and certificate from a smartcard with optional F-Secure Smartcard Extension.

F-Secure BackWeb can now be installed from the same setup as F-Secure Anti-Virus. F-Secure BackWeb can also be installed remotely and silently through Policy Manager.
