"In today's highly connected world, ensuring the security of transactions is paramount to the success of ebusinesses. Organisations are realising that their ability to conduct business, grow their own market share and prevail over competitors is intricately linked to the level of security they can provide, said Sandra Edler, Research Analyst at IDC. "At the same time, companies realise that maintaining the necessary level of security on an in-house basis is neither feasible nor cost-effective. The result is a many-fold increase in the demand for managed security services like the kind offered by F-Secure Online Solutions".

F-Secure Online Solutions and KPNQwest are also exploring opportunities to jointly develop and deploy services bundling security and encryption solutions with KPNQwest's portfolio of value-added Internet services delivered over its 20,000 km fibre-optic network.
