F-Secure Announces Free Online Security Seminar With GartnerGroup

August 9th Web-Seminar Highlights Security Issues Concerning Outsourcing with ASPs and ISPs

Espoo, Finland - August 7, 2000

F-Secure Corporation (formerly Data Fellows) [HEX: FSC], a leading provider of security for mobile, distributed enterprises, today announced a collaboration with leading research firm GartnerGroup to present a seminar focused on security issues concerning outsourcing with ASPs and ISPs. The seminar is one in a series which presents a step-by-step approach to mobile, distributed security by addressing major issues and offering pragmatic advice on how to avoid threats and ensure policy compliance. Future topics range from proactive protection against viruses, secure broadband connectivity, and the growing threat from wireless connectivity.

August's seminar, entitled Security Issues for Outsourcing with ASPs and ISPs, addresses how to select an application service provider or other outsourcing company, what services to outsource, and how to evaluate the proposed services. GartnerGroup security expert, William Malik, will bring his industry-leading expertise to the table.

The seminar will be presented online with a simultaneous teleconference. The core presentation, approximately 20 minutes in length, features experts from F-Secure and partner organizations. This is followed by a 15-minute presentation by Malik and other GartnerGroup analysts, and then the floor is open for questions from the audience. Participants can ask questions both during the seminar (via web messaging) or live during the Q&A period.

Today's increasingly mobile and wireless enterprise is faced with growing security concerns as computer systems become more open and portable. Additionally, heavy reliance on the Internet exposes sensitive corporate data to the threat of sabotage. It is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure the security of an IT network. F-Secure experts will share solid advice on how to increase the protection of corporate firewalls, avoid distributed denial of service attacks, and ensure that all employees remain in compliance with corporate security policies at all times.

This month's seminar is scheduled for August 9, 2000.
