Espoo, Finland, April 27, 2000 - F-Secure Corporation, a leading provider of centrally managed, widely distributed security solutions, has received further recognition for the virus searching capabilities of its F-Secure Anti-Virus product.

F-Secure Anti-Virus received 100% detection rates and 99% disinfection rates in a large anti-virus test reported in the German CHIP magazine's May 2000 edition. F-Secure Anti-Virus achieved clearly higher detection and disinfection rates than the competing products.

In addition of the outstanding detection rates, the test praised the regular updates and moderate resource consumption of F-Secure Anti-Virus.

In the comparative review, F-Secure Anti-Virus detected 100% of in-the-wild boot, file, macro and script viruses, getting better detection rates than the competing products, including products from Network Associates [NASDAQ: NETA], Symantec [NASDAQ: SYMC] and Computer Associates International [NYSE: CA].

The University of Magdeburg and GEGA Software conducted the independent test reported in CHIP Magazine.

"The latest test results reported in CHIP magazine - one of the largest computer magazines in the world - demonstrate once again that F-Secure is the technology leader in virus protection", says Manager of Anti-Virus Research Mikko Hypponen from F-Secure.
