Data Fellows Appoints Tanya Candia Vice President of Worldwide Marketing

High Tech Industry Veteran Lends Marketing Expertise

Espoo, Finland, October 4, 1999 - Data Fellows Corporation, one of the world's leading developers of anti-virus and encryption software , today announced that it has named Tanya Candia as vice president of worldwide marketing. In this position, Ms. Candia is responsible for establishing global marketing objectives and strategy, growing the global marketing team, building the product and solution marketing infrastructure, and supporting direct and indirect channels.

Ms. Candia has worked in the high-tech industry for the past 20 years. She began her career in software engineering and management, working for Amdahl Corporation, Ford Aerospace and ASK Computers. For the past ten years she has held executive marketing positions at international corporations such as Starlight Networks and Unison Software. As Vice President of Worldwide Marketing for Unison Software, Ms. Candia was instrumental in positioning the company for leadership in the system management market, leading to the company's initial public offering. Ms. Candia holds an M.S. in systems management from the University of Southern California, as well as an M.A. in intercultural communication from the Monterey Institute of International Studies.
