F-Secure Received Positive Ruling in Arbitration

Espoo, Finland - September 4, 2000

F-Secure Corporation has received a positive ruling from the arbitration concerning the exclusive rights to sell and market the F-Secure SSH product co-developed with SSH Communications Security Ltd. The arbitrator, nominated by the Central Chamber of Commerce, has decreed that F-Secure will continue to enjoy exclusive sales and marketing rights for the product. SSH Communications Security Ltd. was ordered to return royalties to F-Secure Corporation totalling 0,3 million EUR.

The arbitration process and the independent auditing carried out during the arbitration validated that the books and reporting related to the contract were in order, save certain royalty reports and payments being late.

F-Secure recognizes the validity of the licenses sold by SSH Communications Security Ltd. during the arbitration process. F-Secure will do all within its power to make sure that no discomfort is experienced by these customers due to the fact that SSH Communications Security is not allowed to continue to sell the product.

F-Secure will continue to build its relationship with SSH Communications Security in a positive and constructive spirit. F-Secure looks forward to opening negotiations with SSH Communications Security to authorize SSH Communications Security to act as a reseller for the F-Secure SSH products.
