F-Secure, a leading provider of data security solutions, today announced a Chinese version of Security as A Service, a new security solution for ISPs, with enhanced protection through a sophisticated quick-response antivirus and antispyware capability.

This comes at the time when F-Secure expands its business in Asian market with the establishment of an office in Singapore. F-Secure has been serving Asian customers from the Japanese office for several years already.

"In developing greater protection for customers, our powerful Data Security Research Team of globally recognized experts has demonstrated a very high detection and cure capability. On average, our virus and spyware definition databases are updated twice daily, providing internet service providers with a complete and prompt protection against any new threats," said Jari Heinonen, Regional Director for F-Secure in Asia.

"F-Secure’s ISP business has grown 87% from 2Q04 to 2Q05. We believe our rapid growth is in part due to our localized approach. We are pleased to have a Chinese version of Security as A Service solution for ISPs, which will be available by middle of the fourth quarter," added Heinonen.

Security as A Service has been deployed under Hong Kong’s largest ISP Netvigator’s "PC Guard" service. It provides real-time and automatic virus definition updates through the internet and offers software upgrades in a user-friendly package.
