Mail relay vulnerability

Jun 16, 2009:

The F-Secure Messaging Security Gateway 5.5.x product is affected by the following mail relay vulnerability: specially crafted messages may be used to bypass mail relay restrictions.

The issue only affects systems which use the SMTP Turbo module for mail distribution. Incorrectly relayed messages still pass through spam filtering which decreases the vulnerability's usefulness for spam relaying.

The fix for this vulnerability is available in the update channel, and it is installed automatically.

For more information about the vulnerability, see F-Secure Security Advisory FSC-2009-2.
