Version 8.01 includes the following features:

All customers are recommended to upgrade to this version.
New in the 8.00 release:
- DeepGuard 2.0 now queries over the network as part of proactive protection, which reduces the amount of user prompting. This improves accuracy and speed, as well as response time to new outbreaks of suspicious items.
- IPv6 protection All modules offer protection support IPv6 (for example, firewall, e-mail scanning, web traffic scanning).
- Neighborcast – increasing download performance
The improved F-Secure automatic update agent can now communicate with other clients in the Local Area Network and share downloads with them.
- Improved real-time scanning performance on removable drives
With scanning for viruses and spyware unified, only one decision about the treatment of malware is required. This affects manual scans and scheduled scans.
- A notification flyer for scheduled scans gives the user the possibility to abort the scan and to view the scanning report.
- The scanning report has been updated to explain in more detail why certain files have been skipped.
- Dial-up Control - Client Security now monitors applications that try to use the users modem such as third party dialers.
- Cisco NAC Plug-in, previously called Cisco NAC Support now also supports version 2 of CTA.
- Updated identification and removal of conflicting programs (sidegrade)
Firewall "Open port" now offers automatic creation of firewall services and rules for quickly opening a new firewall port.
