Seppo Ruotsalainen appointed F-Secure SVP Sales and Geographical Operations

F-Secure has appointed Seppo Ruotsalainen as Senior Vice President and Member of the Executive Team in charge of the company’s global sales and geographical operations starting September 29, 2008. His main areas of responsibility include increasing company sales growth as well as developing the country organizations’ sales and marketing operations according to F-Secure’s strategic focus. An integral part of Ruotsalainen’s responsibilities also include development of the company’s partner operations and distribution channels.

Seppo Ruotsalainen has a long experience of different positions in the IT and communications sector. In the past years he has acted on several Boards of Directors and as a senior advisor to various companies. He was also Chairman of the Board of the Finnish Information Processing Association in 2004 and 2005. As Managing Director of Tekla Oyj, a major Finnish software company, he was in charge of internationalizing the company in 1998-2003. Before that he was the Deputy Managing Director of Oy LM Ericsson Ab. In 1983-93 Ruotsalainen held international positions at Hewlett-Packard at the company’s headquarter in the US as well as leadership positions at HP Finland.

Seppo Ruotsalainen holds a Licentiate of Technology degree. He is married and has three grown-up children.
