F-Secure announces contract with Canal Digital Norway to offer security as a service

F-Secure has signed a service agreement with TV cable operator, Canal Digital Norway to ensure safe surfing for all its broadband customers. The security service which was launched in January offers first-class automated security services including the provision of anti-virus, anti-spyware and firewall as well as parental and spam control. F-Secure also delivers hosting, monitoring and maintenance of the service, which is managed by 24/7 high-quality global hosting centers.

Canal Digital is the leading TV content distributor in the Nordic region, offering a wide range of national and international TV channels to households that rely on DTH, cable, DTT or SMATV for the reception of television services. In Norway, Canal Digital also offers broadband connectivity to its cable customers. Overall, Canal Digital provides TV distribution services to more than three million households and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Telenor, the Norwegian mobile telecommunications company.
