Jan 22, 2007: - offer Internet security to Utility Warehouse customers -

F-Secure, the market leader in Service Provider provisioned Internet Security services, has partnered with Telecom Plus (trading as The Utility Warehouse) to offer their customers Internet security by monthly subscription. Broadband and dial-up users can now buy F-Secure Internet Security for up to three PCs in the home as part of The Utility Warehouses’ new ‘MySecurePC’ offer.

Simon Thompson, Product Manager at Telecom Plus, said, "The Utility Warehouse provides people with better value and better service by combining all their main utilities (gas, electricity, broadband, mobile and fixed telephony) onto a single monthly bill. Adding Internet Security to our portfolio means our Internet subscribers now have a cost effective way to surf the web safely without a long-term commitment or the upfront cost of purchasing a package."

Thompson continued, "F-Secure has not only provided us with an excellent Internet security solution for our customers, but also an easy way to integrate their product into our delivery and billing systems, making life easier for the households that use our service."

Richard Hales, UK and Ireland country manager at F-Secure, commented: "Utility Warehouse’s model fits perfectly with our vision to deliver security as a service - where users can pay for what they need on a monthly basis, so they can always ensure they’r e getting the best protection at the best price. By offering this through this unique company, it’s even more convenient for customers who can now buy security alongside their other utilities."

"From experience we expect that ‘MySecurePC’ will bring many Utility Warehouse customers peace-of-mind to use the Internet without worrying about viruses and other malware that can harm their computer and compromise their personal data," concluded Hales.

Telecom Plus will be offering F-Secure Internet Security to all its Utility Warehouse customers, who will be able to 'try before they buy' with a 30-day no-obligation free trial. After 30 days, they will be given the option to purchase the security solution by way of a monthly subscription.
