F-Secure’s first quarter total revenue grew 41% to 18,8 million euro and the number of partners offering security as a service rose to over 100
F-Secure continues solid growth in its total revenue with a 41% rise to 18,8 million euro and a sizeable 270% growth in its operating profit of 2,9 million euro. The company’s strategically focused security as a service business initiative exceeded 80% growth with an additional strong increase in consumer products in the same time frame.
F-Secure is investing in the development of the security as a service business field and is now able to offer a broad number of target groups tailor made Service Platform service level solutions. F-Secure Service Platform is particularly well suited to large corporations, small and medium sized enterprises , consumers and gateway level, as well as mobile phone and operator networks. F-Secure also extended its security as a service operations in Asia by making a deal with the Indian corporation, Reliance Communications. A service agreement with New World Telecom in Hong Kong for bringing into use Service Platform for Businesses was also the first of its kind in the small to medium-sized data security market in Asia.
F-Secure now has over 100 deals with Internet Service Provider partners in 27 different
countries and the company is the clear market leader in this area in the world.
F-Secure has also invested in the product development of data security for private PC users
and F-Secure Internet Security 2006 launched in autumn 2005 has been selling successfully both in
the company’s own webstore as well as spreading through innovative consumer channels. As a result,
turnover in the consumer sector has grown 80 %. In addition, F-Secure continues to develop
groundbreaking new channel solution deals with the likes of Barclays Internet Bank.
Awareness of global wireless data security threats is quietly growing and sales in F-Secure’s
Mobile Anti-Virus products designed to protect portable and wireless systems have shown clear
growth in the first quarter. Cooperation with Nokia continues and F-Secure Mobile Anti-Virus will
soon be available in many S60 –platform based phones. In addition to this, the corporation is also
providing a data security service to the Swiss Orange World Internet mobile portal which is updated
daily direct to users’p hones.
F-Secure’s President and CEO, Risto Siilasmaa stated: Strong growth describes well the

service level solutions to meet their needs. We still emphasise the recruitment of trustworthy
