A vulnerability in Microsoft Silverlight could disclose information on a local system.
Microsoft has released a security update for Microsoft Silverlight to address an information disclosure vulnerability. The vulnerability was caused by improper handling of objects in memory, and could be exploited into disclosing information on a local system.
The issue has been fixed in the latest update by correcting the way Silverlight checks memory pointers when accessing certain elements. Users are recommended to install the update onto their system as a protection measure against potential exploit attempts.
