A vulnerability in the Unicode Scripts Processor included in affected version of Microsoft Windows could allow an attacker to execute code and take control of the system.
Detailed Description
Microsoft has released a security update to address a vulnerability in the Unicode Scripts Processor. The vulnerability was caused by memory corruption that resulted from incorrect parsing of font types, and could be exploited into allowing an attacker to execute arbitrary code and take control of an affected system.
The vulnerability has been addressed in the latest update by introducing correction on the way that Microsoft Windows parses OpenType fonts. Users are recommended to install the latest update onto their system to protect from potential exploit attempts.
