Detailed Description
Microsoft has released a security update to address a vulnerability in Windows DirectPlay. The vulnerability was caused by improper handling of specially crafted office documents, and can be exploited into allowing an attacker to execute code and take control of a system.
Through the update, a necessary correction has been made to the way that Windows DirectPlay handles content. Users are recommended to install the latest update onto their system as a protection measure against possible exploit attempts.
